I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Mystays Premier Akasaka during my time in Tokyo. Being connected to a 7-Eleven made it easy to grab snacks, sunscreen, and cash without any hassle, which was surprisingly convenient. I also appreciated the front desk team for being helpful and making the stay feel smooth from start to finish. I would happily stay here again.
My honest review as of july 2026. While this hotel is generally quiet and offers a peaceful atmosphere the overall cleanliness leaves much to be desired. There were visible stains on various surfaces, and the room had a persistent unpleasant odor that made it feel less hygienic and inviting. Housekeeping standards did not meet expectations. The room itself was also surprisingly compact and felt quite cramped with limited floor space and tightly arranged furniture, it was difficult to move around comfortably, especially with luggage. Though the peaceful environment is a positive aspect it is unfortunately overshadowed by the lack of cleanliness and the confined layout. A deeper cleaning routine, better odor control and improved upkeep would significantly enhance the guest experience. Ps- it has laundry facility, microwave, vending machine , massage and 7-11 just 2 mins away.
Overall, a disappointing experience. The "double premier" is not "double" nor "premier", the room is tiny, the pictures on the internet are somewhat misleading, there's no space for the luggage, the bed is too small for a couple (~140cm), the carpet has a strong cigarette smell, the fridge was leaking water into the food, there's dust everywhere, cleaning is every 4 days because they are "eco", every other day is charged separatelly, the air purifier is lacking water, the bed seems really old and noisy… We complained to the front desk and got a different room which was basically the same, in this case the smell was not as bad. Rooms show clear signs of neglect: dust, mold, dirt behind everything, many visible signs of deterioration all over the walls and furniture (all of the above is why we gave 1 star for the rooms). Cleaning, specifically, is a 0/5 stars. The front desk service was profesional and attentive but unfortunatelly could not solve any of this issues for us, we understand the hotel being in such bad conditions is not their fault and they did what they could for us (that + good attitude is why we gave 5 stars for the service). On a positive note: due to our insatisfaction they made an exception on their cancellation policy and let us cancel the rest of the stay with a full refund for the days onward. We are grateful for this (thats why we are giving it 3 stars instead of 1). In summary: nowhere near what anybody would expect from a 4 star hotel, not even close. A lot of room for improvement.
Overall it was an OK stay. The double rooms are tiny. If you’re staying with two people and have large suitcases do NOT book a double. I know this is the same for a lot of hotels in Japan but it was so small we had to “upgrade” to a twin. The double had very little hanging space and enough room for one suitcase to be open at any time. The twin was better but had the most pathetic hanging space. The bed is up against a wall so had to climb out of you needed to get up in the night. A real let down. We did have a good stay and the staff were friendly enough. It was our second choice of hotel but couldn’t get a room for our entire stay at the other one. The rooms were clean but the hallways smelt damp and the double rooms did too. We had to stay in a double on our last night as they didn’t have any twins for our whole stay. The hotel is in a good area if you want to be close to all the tourist spots but not in the middle of a busy area. It suited us well as you’re within walking distance of all the major lines to get all over Tokyo. I’d definitely stay in the area but would choose a hotel next time. There are lots of restaurants and bars on the local area but it felt like more of a spot where locals hangout.
Absolutely a fine stay in Tokyo and budget friendly! The roomservice is top notch and the food is good. Friendly staff and excellent air conditioning throughout the whole building. Feels like a breath of fresh air when getting out of the Tokyo summer heat. I really enjoyed my stay here
