I have 0 bad things to say about this hotel. From the moment we checked in, the staff was very very sweet, gave us both a self care welcome gift, and had so many amenities in stock in the lobby for us to take. They also provided umbrellas on a rainy night. The rooms are on the smaller side, but that’s just how it is almost anywhere in Tokyo - it wasn’t an issue for us at all. I actually liked the small, cozy feel. It’s very clean and modern, and I especially loved the rain shower head and massage chair after a long day of sightseeing. Location is 100/10. Literally walking distance to all the best shopping in Ginza. Also a short walk to the subway station and easily accessible everywhere.
I rarely leave reviews, but this time I felt the need to share our experience so other travelers can think twice before booking this hotel. When we first got our room, there was a very strong, unpleasant smell — a mix of mold and sweat. This is something we simply couldn’t tolerate, especially for a 5-night stay at this price point. It felt like the room hadn’t been properly cleaned. We went to reception, and thankfully the staff was understanding and able to move us to another room. The second room didn’t have the same smell, but it still had noticeable cleanliness issues. The shower had visible mold and dirt, and there were stains on the carpet. Also, the hotel description mentions a laundry service, but it is no longer available. This was quite disappointing and honestly made us feel misled. We’ve stayed in many hotels across Japan and Tokyo, and this is the first time we’ve been this disappointed — especially given Japan’s high standards when it comes to cleanliness. Unfortunately, we did not enjoy our stay at all. The only reason we are giving the minimum rating is because of the staff, who were kind and helpful throughout.
Not really bad, but it wasn’t a WOW stay, since of course, it’s not a high-end hotel. For a more budget-friendly, conveniently placed hotel near Tokyo Tower, it’s quite decent, to be fair. Smaller rooms designed for a one to a few nights stay, with low people count, like one or two. Nice perk was that they had massage chairs, but if you turn one wrong setting on, it might hurt your back. The shower was nice, and the bathroom was great for such a small room. One “meh” thing in the rooms, was that there were only two, small 330ml water bottles, which didn’t serve much purpose, since you basically just inhale that amount. We didn’t order any service, including check-in, which was done by us on an automated screen, so just a two star for service. The location was actually quite good, since it’s a 10-15 minute walk to Tokyo Tower and the Maple Park, which is quite nice. Overall a decent budget-friendly option for a few nights. Wouldn’t really recommend for long-term stays over a couple of days.
The staff were really kind and attentive, and we were happy with the housekeeping service. However, overall I didn’t enjoy my stay as much as I expected. The room was quite small because of the design, which made it feel a bit uncomfortable. There was also a smell coming from the sink, and the air from the ventilation didn’t feel very fresh, it felt a bit dusty. Because of the room size and air quality, I didn’t think it was good value for the price. On the positive side, the location was convenient, with the nearest metro station about a 6–7 minute walk away.
I had the opportunity to stay in both the double room (1 bed) and the twin room (2 bed) during my time here and will try to clarify on some comments regarding space in previous reviews. The double room is indeed smaller but anyone who has stayed in Tokyo should know that the compact room style is common. The room includes a bed wide enough for 2 people, a massage chair, and a standing shower. The twin room is more spacious (big enough to fully open 2 checked luggages without issue) and includes 2 twin beds pieced together, a massage chair, and a standing shower + bathtub. Both rooms that I stayed in were very clean, modern, and comfortable overall. The rainfall shower was incredible, the bed nicely firm, and pillows provided (memory foam + ?barley) were perfect for me. The blackout blinds made the room pitch dark which was great for sleeping-in in the mornings. The check-in process was very easy and the front desk staff provided excellent service. Overall, considering the location and value, Remm Plus is a great option in my opinion and I will definitely be staying here again if I come back to the Ginza area.
