About Photographer Benjamin Lee:
I am an international, award winning, and expert photographer who has photographed celebrities and cultural icons for global advertising firms and magazines in both London and Tokyo. In London, I took portraits of renowned individuals, including hat designer Stephen Jones, lead developer of the hydrogen bomb Edward Teller, violinist Yehudi Menuhin, sculptor Sir Henry Moore, advertising executive Sir John Hegarty, fashion designer Bruce Oldfield, and Sir Charles Saatchi, founder of Saatchi and Saatchi. In 1987, I moved to Japan and was commissioned by British Vogue to photograph fashion designer Rei Kawakubo, designer Issei Miyake, architect Arata Isozaki, designer Eiko Ishioka, and architect Ando Tadao. In 2012, best selling contemporary artist, Yayoi Kusama appointed me as her main photographer for magazines features.
I have received the British Design Art Direction Award, and the Ilford Portrait Photo Contest, twice.
