We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and our room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The hotel has a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere — a real oasis away from the crowds and busy streets of Tokyo. We would definitely stay here again!
It’s our family’s first time staying in ueno neighborhood. We visited Japan and other prefectures before, however this trip was focused just Tokyo. We wanted a more spacious room with a laundry machine and small kitchenette. Also, we wanted to be away from the busy streets and crowds but also close enough to all the other attractions by train or taxi. Tabi Ueno checked all of these. Our room was clean and spacious for Tokyo standards. We stayed one week in July. Japan summers are hot and humid so having a washer/dryer machine in our room was priceless. The hotel provides detergent for one load but you can easily purchase your own at 7-11 or family mart which are easily accessible from every street near the hotel. The location is close to Ueno station with several train lines. It’s walking distance to Ameokyo Street with plenty of restaurants, malls and shopping. I always find Tokyo to be a bit overwhelming with the crowds and shops. I thought Ueno would be somewhat less crowded but it is slightly less. The room was cleaned once midweek of our stay which was perfect. They provided a handheld vacuum which came in handy. Plenty of clean towels, slippers, cups, refrigerator and pajamas are provided.
We spent 1 week in Tabi Ueno and it was the best experience so far! The staff that greeted us was very kind and explained everything. The rooms feel luxurious, lots of space and places to store your clothes and other items. They kindly ask you to remove the shoes inside the room and it truly feels like a modern Japanese home. Rooms are very spacious, we were on a moon room and we felt really good. AC works well, amenities are top notch, the slippers in the room were so comfy after walking all day. What we loved the most was the shampoo and other washing supplies, they smelled good. Outside there is a 7-eleven nearby which was my daily driver. The only note I have is that the area is more of a working people area, I saw a lot of people in the area walking towards a building around 8-9 and the same at 5-6, there is a very nice area with food nearby. In general everything was great and we loved our stay, if we have the chance to come back we would love to stay in there again. Ps: It has a washing machine on the room! That saves a TON of trips
First time traveling to Japan and this was our first stay on our trip. The apartment style hotel recently opened this year with modern clean new conveniences that made our stay very comfortable. Everything was well thought out with comfort in mind. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The room included a washing machine which we made use of. Convenient walk to Ueno station and convenience stores. Slightly hot weather but we ended up walking most places around the area. We would definitely stay again!
Just wanted to share my thoughts after my recent stay. The hotel is super new and looks great, which is awesome! However, it seems like the housekeeping might need a little extra attention before the next guest arrives. I noticed a few things that could have been missed. Hopefully, they can tighten up those checks to make sure everyone has a spotless stay!
