The best bar in Ueno, maybe even all of Tokyo. Very cozy atmosphere. English menu available through an QR code. We sampled a number of their cocktails and all were delicious. I can recommend the Mellow Sweet Martini and the Negroni Verde. Music was a great mix of Japanese and North America classics from the 70s and 80s played on vinyl. Thanks so much for a wonderful evening!
I was traveling alone and walked by and was enamored by the style and lighting. I went in and was greeted by several very kind bartenders. I spoke music with the bartender and he made me a Metallica drink and put on a Metallica record, what a cool experience! Then I spoke with a local patron about the differences in dating between the American and Japanese. The ambiance is great, definitely recommend.
Great local bar I stumbled across close to my hotel Four Points Flex Ueno. Great atmosphere and frienfly staff who spoke English. Craft beer 800 Yen per glass. I tried their White Ale and Tokyo IPA. The Tokyo IPA is delicious. I'll be back for more.
Like someone already said in the reviews, just go here. The drinks are elevated to another level here and you can tell there is real pride behind the cocktail making. The ambiance is awesome with great music and decor.
We wanted to see the bar culture of Tokyo and stumbled upon this shop near the station. Great atmospheric with cocktails named after famous songs. We got Plastic Love, Stay with Me and Old Tokyo's Fashioned while chewing on beef jerky and cheese cubes/crackers. The bartenders were professional and attentive. We highly recommend this bar.
