First of all, we played the gatcha and gotten a free baby mug!! It didn’t end there, we also got a 30% off 6 sakes from a raffle that they were running. It started off perfect. We chose the Wagyu Steak set, and added an extra oyster. Man, everything was so perfect! Staffs were extremely friendly! I gotta say the A4 wagyu was not expected, it was the real deal. My other half normally would avoid the oysters, but she had 2, that had to mean something. Scallops were cooked to perfection! I am gonna have to walk back to hotel because we finished up the whole set. Souvenirs are definitely recommended, they are so cute!!!
One of our favorite dinner experiences in Tokyo! We loved the energy of the staff - everyone appeared super friendly and welcoming. Both the drinks and food were amazing. Personally, I can highly recommend the Grapefruit Sour!!! They were able to accommodate to my request for a pescetarian dish which I also appreciated greatly. We’ll be coming back next time. 5/5 🙇🏻♀️🌟
Very accommodative of dietary requirements, great portions and value for money! Service was great and very friendly and jovial staff. Cute atmosphere. First time trying okonomiyaki as we missed trying it in Hiroshima. Loved the flavour and lovely service! Would suggest you book a reservation though as they get full very fast and you may not get a table. Lucky for us someone cancelled their reservation otherwise we wouldn't have been able to try! Give it a shot if you're walking around shinjuku!
Teppen Baby isn’t just a place to eat, it’s a cultural experience! We ordered the vegetarian okonomiyaki with a fried egg, and it was fantastic. Watching the chefs cook right in front of us, taking in all the aromas, and seeing the whole process up close made the experience even more memorable. As vegetarians, we don’t often get to enjoy something that feels this authentically tied to local food culture in Japan. I’d recommend booking a reservation, and keep in mind that there’s a last-order cutoff for food and duration of the meal.
