Our tea ceremony is led by experienced Japanese instructors who wear traditional kimono, speak English fluently, and each have over 10 years of experience in the art of tea. This is a perfect introduction to Japanese culture for visitors from around the world. You will learn how to make matcha and enjoy traditional Japanese sweets. 1. Welcome & Introduction You will be warmly welcomed in a traditional Japanese room. The instructor will explain the meaning and history of the tea ceremony. 2. Stone-Milling Experience Before the tea ceremony begins, you will have a rare opportunity to grind high-quality green tea leaves into fine matcha powder using a traditional stone mill. This hands-on activity deepens your appreciation for the matcha-making process. 3. Tea Ceremony Demonstration Watch a live demonstration of the tea ceremony. The instructor will show you how to use the tea tools and explain the basic manners and etiquette of tea serving. 4. Hands-On Matcha Making & Tasting Now it's your turn. Using traditional utensils, you will make your own bowl of matcha with the freshly ground powder. After preparing the tea, enjoy drinking it along with a seasonal Japanese sweet in a calm and authentic setting.
