This transportation option offers you the freedom and flexibility to explore at your own pace. Departing from Takayama, a city known for its beautifully preserved old town and traditional festivals, travelers will journey through scenic landscapes and charming villages, showcasing the natural beauty and cultural heritage of Japan. As the bus passes through Hirayu, nestled in the Japanese Alps, travelers can enjoy views of this charming village known for its hot springs and serene mountain scenery. Although it is not a stop, you can admire the traditional architecture and lush greenery from the comfort of the bus. Our service boasts the unique distinction of being the only direct bus transfer going to Tokyo offering access to Mt. Fuji’s 5th Station, providing an unrivaled opportunity to stand amidst the clouds and behold the iconic peak in all its majesty. At Mt. Fuji 5th Station, you can take some beautiful pictures, have a small snack at a local shop, and refresh yourself before we head to our next destination. Passing through Kawaguchiko, near Lake Kawaguchi, travelers can enjoy views of Mount Fuji. From April 1 2026, passengers can feel free to explore Kawaguchiko on their own in the afternoon (1.5 hours of free time) before reboarding the bus and heading to Tokyo. NOTE: Mt. Fuji 5th Station is only available for 2025 departures. As we move towards Tokyo, you can enjoy watching the mountainous Japanese countryside change gradually into the dense cityscape of the Tokyo metropolis. Tokyo has much to offer, but we've listed a couple of our recommendations below. ●Asakusa and Senso-ji Temple: Explore one of Tokyo's oldest temples and the surrounding traditional market streets. ●Shibuya Crossing: Experience the bustling energy of one of the busiest intersections in the world. ●Tokyo Tower: Visit this iconic landmark for panoramic views of the city. ●Ueno Park: Enjoy a leisurely walk in this large public park, home to museums, a zoo, and beautiful cherry blossoms in spring. ●Akihabara: Discover the hub of electronics, anime, and gaming culture in Tokyo.

Mount Fuji Clothing Recommendations: In summer, we recommend taking a thin jacket as the temperature is usually around 15°C. In winter, warm clothing is essential as temperatures can drop to -8°C to -10°C. If the 5th Station is unreachable due to road closures, traffic, or safety reasons, we will pivot to the Mt. Fuji Heritage Center or Oshino Hakkai, an idyllic town with great views of Mt. Fuji and eight lakes formed from Fuji's pristine spring water.
