We will meet up at the Toyosu fish market to buy foodstuff to be prepared and enjoyed at the VAS kitchen studio. We will walk the ACTUAL market instead of seeing the market from one of the FIVE windows from the observatory floor on the third floor. After buying food from the retailers, we will proceed to go to the VAS kitchen studio to enjoy making five types of sushi. Gunkan sushi, Tamari Sushi, futomaki Sushi, Chirashi Sushi and Oshi Sushi. Not types of fish you will find on a sushi but authentic types of sushi we have in Japan and you will get to enjoy sushi as a native will do for fraction of the price for the quality and quantity you would get at a sushi store given the markup margin will be 5 to 10 times as bought in the market. After the sushi experience, you will be given an opportunity to try making tea ceremony confectionaries. Then the tea ceremony with actual tea ceremony professors and experience the unique time in touch with the serenity provided by the experience. You will learn about Japanese sushi knives, Japanese sake and more making this very unique and special cultural and foodie session a very valuable time during your stay in Japan. Try us.
