Description
Escape the hustle of Tokyo and step into a coastal town full of history, nature, and nostalgic charm. This full-day guided tour takes you on a scenic journey through Kamakura and Enoshima, two beloved spots just outside the capital.
Your first stop is the Great Buddha of Kamakura, a towering bronze statue nestled among the trees. Standing over 13 meters tall, it’s one of Japan’s most iconic historical sites.
From there, enjoy a 15–20 minute walk to Hase Station, where you'll hop aboard the legendary Enoden Train. This charming old-style train weaves its way between houses and along the coastline, offering views straight out of a Ghibli film. The train ride from Hase Station to Enoshima Station via Kamakura Koko-Mae is included in your tour.
Kamakura High School is known as the real-life model for Ryonan High School in the anime Slam Dunk.
Just a short walk from the station is the famous railway crossing where Hanamichi Sakuragi waves to Haruko Akagi—one of the most iconic scenes in anime history.
Even today, fans from around the world come here to take photos, reliving the memories of their youth.
It’s more than just a location—It’s a place where people reconnect with their past and say a quiet goodbye to their teenage years.
Take in stunning views of the Shonan Coast as the sea breeze carries the scent of the ocean.
Next, explore Enoshima Island, a small but lively island connected to the mainland by a bridge. Climb up to Enoshima Shrine, visit local shops, and enjoy panoramic views of the coastline.
In the afternoon, visit Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine, a grand Shinto shrine surrounded by nature and steeped in samurai history. Afterwards, walk along Komachi Street, where you can browse traditional sweets, crafts, and street food before heading back to Tokyo.
