[Sumo Morning Training Option]
Step into the hidden world of sumo wrestling with our exclusive Tokyo Sumo Morning Training Tour. This is your rare chance to sit just a few feet away from professional wrestlers as they train with full intensity inside an authentic sumo stable.
Unlike shows, this is the real thing—raw, powerful, and deeply traditional. You’ll feel the ground shake with every clash, hear the heavy breaths of the rikishi, and sense the discipline and spirit that have defined sumo for centuries
[ Sumo Practice With Wrestler Option]
Sumo stables are rarely open to outsiders. But this program offers something truly extraordinary: the chance to observe and learn directly from Sumo wrestlers who live and breathe the sport every single day.
This isn’t a staged performance or a tourist-friendly show. It’s an intimate glimpse into the raw intensity of Sumo training, just meters away from the ring. You’ll feel the power, the discipline, and the spirit of the sport as it unfolds before you.
And after practice, you’ll have the rare opportunity to meet the wrestlers face-to-face and take a commemorative photo with them a moment few ever get to experience.
[What is a Sumo Stable?]
Sumo stables are the places where sumo wrestlers reside and train together with their oyakata, the master of the stable. Though the number of stables may vary from year to year, currently, there are 45 of them in Japan and they are all located in the Kanto area. The wrestlers adhere to strict rules, share meals, and divide housework. They have a strict hierarchy by division, which means the lower-ranked rikishi are responsible for most of the chores and assist the higher-ranked rikishi with tasks such as running errands and even scrubbing their backs.
