Positives: the location is excellent, in the centre of Akihabara and near two metro stations to get anywhere in Tokyo. Beds are good standard for a capsule hotel. Communal bath is a good benefit. Negatives: Showers, bath and lounge all in the basement so takes some effort to get there and there is only one elevator. There are lots of people coming and going from the bedroom during the night (due to nightlife or because of flight times).
I was so satisfied with the hotel because the price is reasonable even in golden week holidays in Japan. What I like most about the hotel is that it offers public shower rooms for all. Couldnt be better for the travellers! I highly recommend this place for Tokyo travel!
The only real advantages of this hostel are its excellent location in the heart of Akihabara and the reasonable price, especially considering it was the peak Sakura season. Cons: Unfortunately, the negatives far outweigh the positives. I will not be returning for several reasons: 1. Hygiene & Toilets: The toilets were consistently dirty. Since there are no urinals, many guests (mostly foreigners) use the toilets standing up and make a mess everywhere. It’s quite disgusting. 2. Noise & Luggage: The "quiet hours" policy is non-existent here. Other guests were extremely loud at night and ignored the rules by dragging massive suitcases directly into the capsule area instead of leaving them in the lobby as required. 3. Unbearable Temperature: It was way too hot inside. The indoor temperature was around 23.5–24°C, making it impossible to sleep comfortably. The ideal sleeping temperature should be 18–20°C. Despite it being 8–10°C outside, the staff kept the heaters blasting. It makes no sense. 4. Onsen/Public Bath Issues: There is a total lack of hygiene control. I saw several guests entering the communal bath without showering first. The hostel fails to explain the basic Japanese bathing etiquette to guests, and there are no signs or stickers to remind them. Management Suggestion: These issues could easily be fixed by introducing a security deposit of 5,000–10,000 JPY and fining guests who violate the rules (noise, luggage, hygiene). Currently, there is zero enforcement. Verdict: If you only care about the price and location, go for it. But if you value sleep, cleanliness, and respect for Japanese culture, look elsewhere. I won’t be back.
Top location, center of the main street of akihabara. Staff are very helpful. I arrived sick and they helped with giving me a capsule closeby to its facilities. One staff even went as far as to purchase me a drink from the nearby 7/11. My stay here was for a week and it was super comfortable the whole time. Capsules come with a tv, nice mattress and warm area. The onsen is perfect temperature. Everything about this place is exactly what i needed from a capsule hotel and will definitely be staying at glansit hotels on my future trips. Big thanks to the staff there, you guys went above and beyond.
I had a great stay at GLANSIT Capsule Hotel in Tokyo. The location is incredibly convenient — just steps away from the city’s main spots, food, and transport, which made getting around super easy. The capsule room was very clean, comfortable, and surprisingly spacious for a capsule stay. One of the best parts was the public bath. After a long and tiring day of walking, the hot bath felt amazing and really helped me relax. The facilities were well-maintained and peaceful, making it a perfect way to end the day. Overall, a fantastic stay. Highly recommended if you want convenience, cleanliness, and a relaxing experience in the heart of Tokyo.
