Enjoying a feast of Kinmedai (golden snapper)! Located right in the middle of the Shinjuku 3-chome bar district, the restaurant has a striking facade. Descending the stairs and entering the entrance, a bright and relaxing space unfolds. ■ Appetizer: Seasonal small dish Starting with raw bluefin tuna tataki ■ Grilled dish: Assortment of two kinds of grilled vegetables Grilled sweet peppers and pearl corn Salt goes well with the sweet peppers, and ginger soy sauce goes well with the pearl corn ■ Kinmedai appeal Time to showcase the Kinmedai! A beautifully shaped Kinmedai that's breathtaking! ■ Sake: Kido My favorite Kido is ready! ■ Sashimi: Assortment of five kinds of fresh fish caught that morning Five kinds: raw bluefin tuna, young tuna, yellowtail, sea bream, and golden snapper Kinmedai is truly amazing! Enjoyed with a pinch of salt and wasabi, the fatty, tender flesh has a subtle yet firm umami flavor. Sake washes it down while the aftertaste lingers. ■Simmered Dish: Simmered Alfonsino This was absolutely delicious! The seasoning was kept to a minimum. The firm texture and flavor of the alfonsino flesh were preserved, while it melted in the mouth. ■Fried Dish: Satsuma-age (Deep-fried Fish Cake) of Alfonsino A luxurious satsuma-age with a rich aroma. The deliciousness of the alfonsino is truly brought out. ■Hot Pot Dish: Shabu-shabu with Alfonsino Shabu-shabu brings out the aroma and umami even more. ■Meal: Clay Pot Rice with Alfonsino This was also amazing! The aroma was on another level. Pouring the broth, which had been simmered in the shabu-shabu pot, over the dish resulted in an unbelievably delicious taste. ■Dessert: Warabi Mochi The meal concluded with delicious warabi mochi and hot green tea, showing that they didn't cut corners until the very end.
