This is my favorite restaurant in Tokyo. You have to try the caviar scrambled egg signature dish. Also the crispy rice/sushi dish and the tuna shaped like pasta are highlights. Steak is perfectly done every time, and desserts are always a work of art. A must-try in tokyo. Plus the staff is incredibly nice to English speakers. Thank you Jean Georges Tokyo team!
So delicious, every single food item and the plating was truly outstanding. What was even better was the staff service. Highly recommended!
Restaurant is tired and shabby, the food is good but doesn’t qualify as original or great. There are much better options at this price point. I had the $156Usd tasting menu and Sake & sparkling water, total bill was about $250. I would not go back or recommend it, living off past prestige.
I had an exceptional dinner at Jean-Georges Tokyo, indulging in the dinner tasting menu. The chef and the waiter were incredibly welcoming, engaging in delightful small talk and providing detailed introductions to each dish. They even offered me the opportunity to taste various locations of the same grape wine before I made my selection. Every staff member wore a warm smile, enhancing the overall experience. The caviar paired beautifully with the scrambled eggs, balancing the fresh, salty flavors to perfection. The Kampachi sushi was a delightful surprise, complemented by the fried rice. The grouper accompanied by lime sauce, harmonized wonderfully with the sweetness of fruit along with some small salty and crispy dough that enhanced the dish's texture. While the scallop was perhaps lacking a bit of the desired freshness and umami, the green puree was absolutely amazing and extremely refreshing. The lemon garlic puree with basil was aromatic and complemented the perfectly cooked, juicy trout. As a mushroom lover, I must say the mushrooms truly stole the show. The sour pearl and fig sorbet, along with the cake after the main dishes, was a perfect finale to refresh the palate. Bread and scones were thoughtfully provided between courses to refresh the palate preparing the mouth for new tastes. Every dish was meticulously prepared and tasted absolutely amazing.
