Seafood Restaurant Seagen

Chanced upon this restaurant with a high google rating. The first sign of it being a great find is when locals (not just foreigners) are also in the queue under the hot sun. Queued around 45 minutes despite reaching before restaurant opened. So buffer time and bring along a UV umbrella, esp if coming on a weekend in summer. The wait was certainly worthwhile once you get to try the ultimate tuna bowl. It was the best I tried in Tokyo thus far, better than the other famous Maguroya Kurogin nearby, and you get to enjoy your meal in a sit-down restaurant. Tip: Foreigners might prefer the seaweed option over the mushy yam. You can enjoy making your own handroll.
Great tuna bowl, remember to be here before open time. I was here like 45 mins before open and I was the 5th in line. Tuna bowl is the must. Enjoy Chu toro and O toro, you won’t be disappointed.
Seafood Restaurant Seagen served one of the best tuna bowls I have ever eaten in Tokyo. The tuna was incredibly fresh, flavorful, and memorable, making every bite enjoyable. The quality of the seafood was immediately noticeable, and the combination of textures and flavors created a dish that was truly unforgettable. The portion size was reasonable and satisfying, offering a good balance between quality and quantity. The freshness of the ingredients and the care put into the preparation really made the meal stand out from other seafood restaurants I have visited. The overall dining experience was excellent, and the tuna bowl alone is worth the visit. If you are looking for fresh, high-quality seafood in Tokyo, I highly recommend Seafood Restaurant Seagen. It is definitely a place I would return to on future visits.
to be honest i did not usually expect much quality for resto in tsukiji given mostly its very touristy. But this one I had to accept that tuna quality and taste profile are another level. Though its my 2nd lunch I still felt very fulfilling. Surely be back again every trip
I came looking for Seagen after some friends who came here on a previous occasion told me to specifically look for this restaurant. This restaurant may not be on the main strip of Tsukuji fish markets but it definitely has earned its place here. I was lucky to not have to wait in line (maybe because of the rainy weather) and was seated not long after arriving. I ordered the chef's special bowl with two tuna choices and I was blown away. The tuna portions were overflowing and the quality of each type of tuna was amazing. There was no fishy smell and each tuna piece melted in my mouth. It was so good that I definitely used up my rice refill coupon. Another thing which I appreciated was the staff letting me take the time to enjoy my meal and not pushing me out. Needless to say I'll be back here next time I visit Japan and if I have friends / others with me, I'll definitely take them here for an exquisite tuna sashimi experience!
