We had such a great time here, our server was so kind. Highly recommend
This was such a cool find at the end of our trip in Japan! The food was delicious and the presentation gorgeous. The server was thoughtful about recommending a unique sake when I asked. It was pink and delicious! The tables are low to the ground but the seats are comfortably recessed into the ground. This is something I had never experienced before so it just added to the vibe. As reviewers have stated, the restaurant entrance is two short flights downstairs. The plaque on the curb does not have the smiling sushi chef icon so look for the name only. I included some pictures.
Although they do not speak English, they make their best efforts to communicate with you through Google Translate. We’re so glad we came here. Lots of delicious food and got the full Japanese experience sitting on a floor mat to eat. Note: the place may be hard to find, it’s in the basement on a building.
Wow…. If you want a legit izakaya experience. Look no further. Every dish is perfectly made and plated. The service was great. The ambience was elegant but authentic. I’ll be back next time I’m in Tokyo.
Cool spot with unique ambiance. They gave us a table late in the evening which was very appreciated considering the area. The food was interesting - my wife loved the sashimi; the onigiri was diverse but a bit bland despite many different toppings. The cold pork belly salad was the highlight!
