First time at a maid cafe! I went with my partner expecting a fun and silly time, and that is what we got! They have several plans for your experience there in terms of time limit and drink limit, which are very clearly laid out when you sit down. We got there around 8:45pm and there was no wait. During late hours, there is a different menu and a late-hour fee per person. I still managed to get an Omurice with a lovely drawing of a bunny (see below) from one of the wonderful maids there, who warned me that the drawing may not be done too well. I think it is perfect! We also saw their special dance show and participated in the lottery draw for a photo with the maids and other related merch prizes! For ¥880, the lottery is a fun experience since you are already paying to be there—you may as well make the most of it. Most importantly, the maids are SO CUTE! They are so fun to be around and it is nice just to sit in a space where you can also hear them doing fun spells and welcoming ceremonies for other tables. You just have to be willing to get silly with it and “meow meow!” Note: Like many themed experiences with high energy, this space can easily become overstimulating (lights, loud music and constant voices from other guests and the maids, etc.) I was OK even after a pretty long day of walking around Akihabara but I know this may be a concern for some!

Very fun atmosphere, tasty drinks and cute girls! If you just get into it and enjoy it, you can have a really good time! Great song selection, when we came in they played a bunch of Le Sserafim songs and they danced a little for some of the orders. Even though my groupmates were hard to please and grumpy throughout, the girls stayed positive and tried to lighten the atmosphere, I enjoyed it very much. Letting us wear ribbons and bunny ears was a nice touch. 楽しかったです!

A kawaii continuation of geisha culture by way of anime? A place where you can have a hearty lunch and engage in some audience participation? With ketchup art? Don’t overthink it, and don’t expect much English, just go and have fun.

I came here for coffee. I left with a Dream Passport, a magical glow stick, a cute parfait keychain, and a new life experience. 😂 The staff were kind, welcoming, and spoke English well enough for a comfortable conversation. As a solo traveler from Malaysia, I never felt awkward or out of place. The parfait was cute, the coffee was good, the live performance was fun, and the whole experience was far more entertaining than I expected. Definitely one of the most unique memories from my Tokyo trip. Thank you for the wonderful afternoon! 💕✨
