Description
Step into a professional sushi studio in Tokyo’s luxury district of Ginza and learn the art of sushi-making from an experienced instructor belonging to one of Japan's best international schools for sushi chefs, Tokyo Sushi Academy. After a warm welcome and donning the professional sushi apron, you’ll be introduced to the tools, ingredients, and techniques used in authentic Japanese sushi. Learn the proper way of shaping rice for sushi pieces and craft 10 pieces of nigiri-sushi, gunkan rolls and hand rolls under expert guidance. A variety of fresh fish and seafood, including tuna maguro and salmon, will be used during this class. Finally, receive a certificate for completion of the class before enjoying the taste of the delicious sushi you just made.
For an even deeper understanding of masterful sushi chef techniques, we also offer a 3-hour class in which you will use professional Japanese kitchen knives for filleting and slicing fresh fish. You will try your hands at filleting a whole fish before making sushi, and in addition you will also learn the proper way of sharpening knives using a whetstone.
There will be plenty of photo opportunities during the entire experience. The activity is perfect for friends, couples, or families. Whether you're a sushi lover, a professional chef or simply curious about sushi making, this class offers an unforgettable cultural immersion.
