This was a phenomenal dining experience. It was intimate and well- thought out. Every course was delicious and it really gave us a taste of Japan. I would highly recommend this restaurant to others.
Loved the "around Japan" food tour. It was an amazing experience and the staff was so nice and attentive. The food was delicious. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.
It was really tough to rate. Service: 5 Service was great, staff were really friendly and tried their bestest to accommodate English speaking customers (when in actuality we tourists should be the ones trying our bestest to speak in their local language). Staff explained the dishes well and even recommended places to visit while in Tokyo. They even accommodated to dietary preferences (they’ll cook your sashimi if you don’t eat raw fish), so I was grateful they were able to do that. For an omakase, I was worried that I would be offending the chef by requesting such dietary preferences. Even if they were offended, they didn’t show it, which I was grateful. Atmosphere: 3 The restaurant has a new theme - similar to teamLab (digital art - Google it), so your pictures with the food will be like, Instagram-worthy (if that matters to you. You can have a look at my pictures). It’s not my cup of tea though, I don’t quite care how pretty my food pictures look and I actually don’t enjoy team lab, so.. eeeps. I didn’t expect this new theme so it’s really my own fault for choosing a place without doing my research. Gave 3 stars cos it was my first time experiencing it, and well it makes my food pictures look pretty. Would I do it again? Not if I have a choice. If you enjoy teamLab, then you’ll likely love the experience. Food: 2 I’m really apologetic about this. I’d like to say food preference wise is all relative. Ask someone else and they may give a 5. But having tried many other non-Muslim friendly sushi / beef omakases before, I’d say I’ve had better with less pain in my wallet.. it’s not bad, but it’s just really not up to my expectations for the price that I’m paying. Conclusion: 3 Really depends on why you wanna go for omakase. For me, it’s the food and loads of peace and quiet, hence a 3 for me. I guess that’s why I love the omakases with Japanese chefs who actually can’t speak any English LOL HAHA. However, if it’s (1) your first time in Japan (2) first time in Tokyo (3) need to eat halal/muslim friendly omakase (4) won’t be visiting other less touristy parts of Japan/Tokyo where halal/muslim friendly food is naturally tough to find (5) want to have a matcha-whisking experience (it’s the last course of the Omakase) (6) prefer having a friendly group of staff who speaks English and you want to have conversations with the locals (7) want a different kind of Omakase experience with teamLab kinda vibe, then yea I’d say this place will be 5 stars for you, and you wouldn’t be disappointed.
Absolutely everything about this restaurant is amazing! The sushi, which looked incredible, tasted even better. Firstly, the composition, the way they were all laid out, the popping colors of the sushi; Every piece was flavourful and fresh. The fish melted in my mouth, and the balance of ingredients was perfect. Even without soy sauce, every single bite hits just right. Beyond the delicious food, the service was truly wonderful. The servers and the chef were incredibly kind, helpful, and attentive throughout the entire meal. It was a huge plus that they all spoke great English, making the experience seamless and very welcoming for a non-Japanese speaker. I highly recommend this place for an unforgettable dining experience!
