The ramen was absolutely delicious! My soul is so happy right now! I can honestly say this is the best ramen I have ever tried anywhere. 10/10 hands down!! I had the hot and spicy tonkotsu soup. Add extra chunks of marinated pork TRUST!
The meat and eggs were marinated to perfection, so tasty/umami with a hint of sweetness. We got extra noodles as their texture was chewy and slurpy. The place is not very suitable with kids as they are individual stools but we made it work! The waiter also helped us bring our stroller upstairs, so kind!
I have been to A LOT of ramen restaurants here in Tokyo but this restaurant has the most authentic tasting. Would recommend and be back to dine here again. The broth is so tasty and the meat is huge. They have the souvenir selection and i regret not taking any for home. Anyways giving this 5 star!
I tried the signature Kyushu Jangara ramen with the recommended combination of marinated pork chunks, cod roe, and flavored boiled egg. I usually avoid red meat, but based on the reputation of this place, it was worth the exception and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The ramen was rich, well balanced, and very flavorful. I especially liked the thin noodles paired with boiled cabbage and spring green onions, which added a nice texture and freshness. The seating is arranged in a semi private style, which felt very traditional and authentic and seems common at classic ramen shops here. Overall, it felt like a true Japanese ramen experience and is definitely a spot I would recommend.
Absolutely delicious ramen! They have additional toppings/seasonings on the table that you can use at your disposal from garlic and hot pepper to sesame seed and pickled ginger. I love the ambiance, it’s like a little get away from the busy streets of Harajuku.
