A restaurant near the station. They offer an amazing all-you-can-drink deal: For weekdays, entry before 6 PM, it's only 600 yen per hour. Plus, they open at 10 AM, so you can even drink in the morning. The interior has a lively, casual izakaya atmosphere. You can choose between individual drinks or the all-you-can-drink option. They have a good selection of reasonably priced snacks. The seafood at Kaishou is fresh, delivered directly from Numazu Port. All the sushi and sashimi were delicious. Their specialty, "Motsu Nikomi" (stewed offal), was tender and the tofu was thoroughly infused with flavor. The "Shirasu & Sakura Shrimp Pizza" is thin and crispy, perfect as a snack. The saltiness is just right, and it goes well with drinks! They also have a great membership program. Smoking is permitted. My note: You are responsible for managing your own time during the all-you-can-drink period. (The store won't contact you, so it will automatically extend once the time is up.)
We stopped in for one drink and a small bite to eat, it was very reasonable for the price and I enjoyed it greatly. Plenty of options for people not keen on fish or otherwise unable to eat fish. Plenty more for those who eat fish.
