Everything at this restaurant was wonderful. The food was delicious and authentic, and the atmosphere was very welcoming. It’s no surprise they have a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence! I highly recommend stopping here while exploring Asakusa.

Quick, easy, great service and a Katsudon meal with a cold beer is comfort food that warms the heart on a cold day. Always welcoming, if you are comfortable with traditional low seating, head upstairs, it’s fun.
We were promptly guided upstairs and placed our shoes into the lockers as directed. The restaurant was noisy which made it difficult to call the staff over to place our order. The staff spoke English and was prompt with taking our order and providing drinks. The food was fresh but on the portions were small. It was a busy night but we felt rushed by the staff to finish our meal. The staff were slow to refill our tea and quick in clearing our table as we finished our food. Where as the tables next to us, the patrons were leisurely sitting and taking their time.
This restaurant opened in 1940. It's now on a prominent corner in an arcade. Sit upstairs for the view and traditional seating. Top-upped green tea. Food is delicious. A selection to please everyone! Fresh fish from the morning market and seasonal dishes, among regular specials. Try the sake taster.
