Went for our honeymoon and it was awesome! The food tastes delicious and it was all you can eat. The host, Pina, was funny and informative. He really brought the energy! The wrestlers were HILARIOUS!! They had us laughing the whole time and were definitely pros in wrestling. So happy we booked this!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An unforgettable experience in Tokyo The Asakusa Sumo Club was without a doubt the highlight of our entire Japan trip. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was incredible. The show was exciting, entertaining, and gave us a real appreciation for the traditions and culture of sumo wrestling. The wrestlers were fantastic, and the way they explained the history and techniques made it enjoyable even for people who knew very little about sumo beforehand. What really made the experience special was how interactive it was. The audience participation created so many memorable moments and had everyone laughing and cheering. The energy in the room was amazing from start to finish. I attended with my grandmother, and we both loved every minute of it. It’s rare to find an activity that appeals to different generations so well, but this absolutely did. The staff were welcoming, friendly, and made everyone feel included. If you’re visiting Tokyo and wondering whether this is worth your time, the answer is a definite yes. We made so many great memories here, and it’s the one experience we’ll be talking about long after returning home. Thank you to everyone at Asakusa Sumo Club for such a fantastic afternoon. Excellent Dinner show in Tokyo, includes a Geisha dance and a demonstration of Sumo techniques, featuring retired Sumo Wrestlers and a presenter who brings fun and humour to the performance.The audience is split in two and you cheer for your own guy. An all you can eat hotpot is provided with refils and drinks available via a phone app. Finally members of the audience are invited to contest a bout with a chosen Wrestler. This is all in good fun and can include teen males and females who often get to win against the odds. Overal a very entertaining night out with cheering and laughter in equal measure, thoroughly recommend night out.
This was such a highlight of our time in Tokyo! Arrive 20 minutes early to be seated up close. Food comes out immediately and is delicious! The hot pot is so good, and you also get to sample fried chicken, rice wrapped in tofu, and sweets. You can order more food and drinks via qr code, and it's delivered in seconds. Excellent service. The show itself is awesome. The MC is fluent in English and really funny. They preview some sumo exercises, rules of the match, illegal moves, etc. so that you understand what's happening without any background knowledge. I cannot even describe how funny and engaging this show is! At the end you can ask the wrestlers questions. You also get souvenirs included on the way our the door. I highly recommend this establishment, and it's very family friendly!
This is one of the best, most fun experiences I’ve ever had! The host is American and the sumo wrestlers are hilarious! The geisha dance was a great opening act. The Chanko nabe was delicious and it was lovely that it was all you can eat . Love the audience participation. They really treat you well. When you leave, they give you a photo that you take with the wrestlers and the geisha, and a gift bag with souvenirs of the event, highly recommended!!
