Tempura Asakusa Sakura delivered one of the most memorable dining experiences I’ve had in Tokyo. The Tempura Combo was absolutely the fitting end to the day. Perfectly crisp, light, and packed with flavour in every bite. Each piece was cooked with incredible precision and felt both delicate and indulgent at the same time. The atmosphere was equally impressive, with an inviting and intimate ambience that made the whole experience feel relaxed and authentic. Daichi, Mitsuyo & Santosh (forgive I missed the last assistant’s name), were the perfect hosts! Whether you’re a first-time visitor to Tokyo or a returning foodie, this is the kind of place that leaves a lasting impression. Highly recommended.
I don’t know where to start. The service was great. Everyone was extremely sweet and helpful when it game to describing the food/ drinks. We did the coursed meal and not only was the presentation gorgeous but the food was packed with flavor. I still can’t believe it was all gluten free. I wish I could eat here all the time. Thank you for creating such a wonderful experience Tempura Asakusa Sakura!
This is my first attempt as a foreigner in Japan trying Omakase. Food and services was 5 stars, with the team able to speak English, one feels ncluded especially in Japan where communication is constantly tested. Because its omakase, chef and his team will explain to you how to pair and enjoy each dish. Price wise, quite fair for omakase. I given 4 stars for location because its juts infront of train station but deducted some points due to its non toddler and wheelchair friendly assesibility. Oh yeah, some patron found a staircase and use it as designated smoking zone... spoiled the taste pallete for non smoker like myself. Must try when you are in the area.
Booked this restaurant to try the tempura and was not disappointed. Very friendly staff and excellent food. The special course comes with a welcome drink that we can choose from alcoholic or non alcoholic drinks. 👍🏼 From the start till the end service was excellent making our dinner a very enjoyable one. Will return whenever we go to Tokyo.
Tempura Asakusa is one of the best gluten free tempura experiences in Tokyo. They have such a variety of options and as someone who doesn't even like fried food, I was INCREDIBLY amazed at how amazing and delicious everything was. I got a smaller Wagyu tempura set and my boyfriend got the bigger set and let me tell you, go for the bigger set. The Wagyu is heavenly. You truly will not be disappointed. Our server Murad was also quite an amazing server. This restaurant also speaks both English and Japanese so for foreigners, it is quite convenient for conversating and ordering. I would also strongly suggest getting the sake pairing with your meal because their sake are absolutely delicious and you can try a whole plethora of delicious Japanese sake! Also, you must make a reservation because seating is TIGHT and they are always very very busy.
