An outstanding dining experience at Ginza Tenryu! Famous for its jumbo gyoza, this restaurant certainly lives up to its reputation. The gyoza were incredibly large, perfectly pan-fried with a crispy exterior and packed with a juicy, flavorful filling. Every bite was satisfying and worth the visit. Beyond the signature dish, the quality of the food was excellent, with fresh ingredients and authentic flavors throughout the meal. The atmosphere was lively yet comfortable, offering a classic Japanese dining experience that feels both welcoming and memorable. The staff were attentive, efficient, and provided excellent service despite the restaurant being busy. It’s easy to see why both locals and tourists are willing to queue for a table. If you’re visiting Ginza and looking for a unique and delicious meal, Ginza Tenryu is a must-visit destination. The legendary jumbo gyoza alone are worth the trip, and the overall dining experience exceeded expectations. Highly recommended!
The food was pretty good here and the gyoza was as well! Our party loved the egg drop soup and the crab fried rice was really unique. Service wasn’t that great, but overall a good experience.
Ginza Tenryu is known for its gyoza, but the experience didn’t quite live up to the hype for me. I waited about an hour even though I arrived right at opening time (11:30am), which already set the bar pretty high. The gyoza come in a portion of eight pieces, and they’re definitely big in size. While the filling was decent, they were noticeably on the oily side, which made them feel a bit heavy after a few bites. I also ordered the stir-fried vegetables—they were flavorful, but again quite oily. Overall, while the portions are generous and the food is okay, the long wait time doesn’t really justify the experience. Personally, I wouldn’t say it’s worth queuing that long for. No vegan or vegetarian options
Came around 4pm and got seated right away, which was a nice surprise for Ginza. We ordered their famous gyoza and the shrimp noodles soup. The gyoza is huge with a perfectly crispy bottom. Flavor-wise, it’s okay, not really my favorite. The shrimp noodles soup, though, was the highlight for me. Comforting, flavorful, and something I’d happily order again. Overall, solid food and worth a visit, especially if you’re curious about their gyoza.
💯 satisfied place with great food and good service 😉 This is my second visit to this area, following my previous trip to the Tokyo CBD. Last time, I visited around 3 pm - no wait, but they asked me to stay only 2 hours; it was super crowded after 5 pm. This time, we visited around 6pm, and there was already a long queue. We waited about 30 minutes, but the outside line was surely moving, so we decided to stay. Every dish we had was 💯 100% yummy 👌. I still want to have another dish; there are too many great menus. Of course, the signature Gyoza, a pan-fried dumpling, was too good as always. I’m sure I’ll come back again 😉 I'd love to visit with a small group to share and try different plates!
