We had a family dinner, visiting Tokyo, and the food we had here was great! It has spots for 2,4 and up to 6 people in a group, but it is only walk in with no reservation. We waited around 30 minutes, and the menu is a set menu in different sizes with different drink options. It is family friendly, and the portions are quite generous; a small is enough for a “regular portion”. There is a one time free rice refill, and complementary cold tea. The meat was very nice and cooking it yourself was a good experience. Would definitely recommend!

After waiting about 45 minutes at the smaller Akihabara location, we gave up and realized this branch was closer to the station, ended up being the best move because we got seated right away. This was a great stop after a long day of shopping. Staff spoke a mix of English and Japanese but they were friendly and helpful when explaining everything that came with the meal. I got the medium beef cutlet set with a beer and it really hit the spot! Cooking each piece on the hot stone grill was a fun added experience since you can choose how done you want it. The beef was premium, super tender inside with a nice crisp on the outside. Would definitely come back here again!
A truly satisfying gyukatsu experience and one that felt well worth the wait. We originally hoped to dine at their Shinjuku main branch, but since we couldn’t secure seats there, we visited this branch instead. We queued for around 45 minutes, yet the overall experience still felt very worthwhile. The menu is simple and easy to navigate, with 3 gyukatsu portion choices: S (130g) ¥1,918 M (195g) ¥2,555 L (260g) ¥2,991 We ordered 2 medium portions and 2 small portions for the kids, and they loved it so much they finished everything by themselves. I started with the miso soup, which was a lovely way to begin the meal. It was tasty, comforting, and had an interesting jelly like element inside that made it feel slightly more special than an ordinary miso soup. The cabbage was fresh and crisp, but definitely best enjoyed with the sauce poured over it. The beef itself was excellent. What made the meal especially enjoyable was being able to experience it in different ways: some pieces with the sauce, some with freshly ground sea salt, and of course with wasabi, which for me is absolutely a must. That combination really elevated the flavor. A small but memorable detail: pour the white sauce and the orange-brown sauce over the rice and mix it well. It tasted surprisingly good. The free refill of barley rice was also a very nice touch. Service was attentive and efficient throughout. Whenever the flame ran out, the staff replaced it promptly. We also appreciated the complimentary ocha, and the pickles were excellent. The mochi dessert was another highlight. It was not the usual chewy style, but softer and more delicate, almost like water mochi or warabi mochi. Very enjoyable. One important note for families: the personal grill gets very hot, so please be extra careful with children. My child had a slight burn while cooking the meat.
A fantastic spot for well-seasoned, juicy Gyukatsu. The set comes with miso soup and a wasabi sauce that adds a perfect umami kick. Bonus: you get a mochi for dessert! The space is large, but expect a queue regardless of when you visit. My tip: go slightly outside of peak meal hours to save time. The staff is tourist-friendly and speaks some English. For 2,110 JPY, the standard set is great value, especially with the unlimited rice refill. Definitely worth the wait!
