I visited this restaurant for the second time, and just like my first visit, the tempura was excellent. The only downside was the wait. I had to stand outside for more than 30 minutes in the middle of summer under the intense heat, even though there appeared to be a few empty seats inside. That was a little frustrating, but it wasn't a major issue. The tempura was delicious as always, and the sake selection was also quite good. The staff were friendly and welcoming. One thing I noticed this time was that the chefs were chatting with each other while cooking about topics that weren't related to their work. As a Japanese customer, I found it slightly uncomfortable, although it wasn't a serious issue. Since many of their customers are tourists, I imagine most people probably won't mind. Overall, I still really like this restaurant and will most likely come back. The food quality is definitely worth returning for. I do think it would be even better if they also considered the expectations of Japanese customers regarding the atmosphere and professionalism in the kitchen.

One of the better meals so far on this Tokyo trip. Found this eatery on Google and it was only a 10-15 minute walk from the hotel. The tempura were made to order with fresh ingredients, and the batter was light and tasty. Especially loved the prawns and the chicken. There are two options - a rice bowl with sauce slathered on top of the tempura, or with white rice and the tempura separated. The $3300 set also included some sashimi slices, Miso soup and pickles. Service was quick and helpful and they even have an English menu.

Visited a tempura restaurant in Asakusa and had a decent experience overall. The food is nice, though not particularly exceptional—good quality tempura, but not something I would queue a long time for. The line starts forming right when they open at 11:30am, so be prepared to wait if you want to try it. Portion sizes are quite generous, which makes the pricing feel reasonable and value-for-money. One highlight was the miso soup—it has a unique taste compared to the usual versions, and definitely stood out. If you’re in Asakusa and have no idea what to eat, and don’t mind the queue, this place is still worth a try. Just don’t expect anything mind-blowing.

I highly recommend thia place if you looking for something that is not ramen. I ordered the tempura rice bowl. It was really good. The served a good portion. It comes with miso soup, some vegetables on the side and the main plate is the tempura shrimp with rice, deep fried egg, broccoli, eggplant and sweet potato. Really delicious. The employees speak little english.

This tempura restaurant is a great find near Senso-ji. We had the dinner set for 3,300 yen (plus tax), and it was very generous for the price. It comes with tempura/ten-don, sashimi, a side, and salad. One of the best tempura I had! The food tastes very fresh and high-quality. This is a popular spot, so I’d recommend coming early to get a seat. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the Asakusa area.
