Good service, fast preparation of food. 13,620¥ for 2 people with 2 main dishes, 1 Waggy steak (a little bit bold), 4 meals on strip, 2 desserts, 3 drinks. Average prices, good experience. Nice staff.
We had a great experience here! The restaurant is super spacious, and they even have private rooms available if you are looking for a more intimate dining for large groups. It can be loud at times due to crowd but being up on the 14th floor offers some amazing views over the city. They have a wide selection on their menu. We ordered a mix of dishes including okyago don, yakitori, rice with ume, soba, pizza, and grilled fish - everything was fantastic. There was a huge screen showing world cup football matches when we went. Staff speaks good English.
The food here is absolutely great! I was particularly impressed by the **vegan options**, which are amazing, especially the **vegan sushi**. It’s rare to find such high-quality plant-based choices that don't compromise on flavor. A huge shoutout to our waitress, **Vani**, who was incredibly helpful and made the entire dining experience even better. Whether you're a vegan or just looking for a fantastic meal in Shibuya, this spot is definitely worth a visit!
On our most recent visit, the entire main floor had been taken over by a large group of foreign business travellers - easily a hundred people - which transformed the space into a bustling, noisy scene. Fortunately, we had reserved a traditional Japanese table, which we prefer anyway, and were seated just before the group began streaming in. Once they arrived, it became noticeably harder for staff to move through the room, and placing our order took longer than usual. Even so, our waiter handled the situation with genuine care. He apologised repeatedly for the delays and did everything he could to maintain the level of service we’ve come to expect. At one point, he even brought us a small bell so we could signal him whenever we needed something, since catching a waiter’s eye across the crowded floor had become nearly impossible. It was a thoughtful gesture that made a real difference. And as always, the food was excellent - fresh, flavourful, and exactly what we come to Gonpachi for. Despite the unusually hectic evening, we left happy and fully intend to return.
went here for 2026’s new year eve and it was magnificent!! firstly, the atmosphere was spectacular. the place was bustling, we got cute glow in the dark glasses, bracelet, and confetti. there were a lot of fun performances such as taiko, new year countdown, sake ceremony, and mochi pounding—we even got free sake! even though the place was really really busy, the service was wonderful. the yakitori and karaage is a must try, i really really love it. lastly, thank you so much for the staffs who are still working in the new year eve.
