Probably my favourite meal or most memorable and certainly will come here again to eat this. Came here during lunch and there was a small group of people ahead of us. Super hot that day but who doesn’t like a bowl of ramen for lunch. You order outside on this machine - accepts cash and card. Once you order, there is someone manning the line. They escort you to the side of the restaurant where the line actually starts. Thankfully it is shaded in that area. Once you’re in the line, the person grabs your ticket and asks you some questions, I think it is regarding the sides or something. I got the dipping ramen, so it came with everything. Once they got your order down, they slowly move you to the front of the restaurant where there are seats for you to sit and wait. Probably waited about 10-15 minutes, which is not bad at all. There is fan and ac in the restaurant, so you cool down pretty quickly. Food is served really quickly as well. And that dipping ramen I got.. I can eat it every day. Rich in flavour but not too salty and the good thing is that you’re not thirsty af after eating it too. The noodles are really chewy and they give you a good amount of it. Also the yuzu pepper that they make, adds a great touch to the taste. Tsukemen had a richer flavour but the ramen itself was really good too. Highly recommend checking this place out 😍🫶🏻 I’m almost sure the owner of this restaurant is Chinese because there was a man in no uniform in the back just telling the staff what to do and they were all speaking in mandarin but hands down one of the best tasting ramen I had in Japan 🥹✨
One of the best meals I’ve had in Tokyo! The ramen was incredibly flavorful despite using such simple, natural ingredients. The duck was tender, the broth was rich without being heavy, and everything tasted fresh and balanced. The service was excellent. The entire staff greeted every customer warmly upon entering, which made the experience feel very welcoming. Be prepared for a line because it gets busy quickly, but don’t let that discourage you. The line moves surprisingly fast, and it’s absolutely worth the wait. One thing to know: This restaurant is cash only, so make sure you have yen before you arrive. After a full morning exploring Asakusa and Ueno, this bowl of duck ramen was exactly what I needed.
I ordered 「鸭らーめん」 The broth had a rich and aromatic soy sauce flavor. Adding the yuzu pepper provided by the restaurant completely changed the taste, giving the soup a refreshing and unique twist. It was a surprisingly enjoyable combination. The duck was incredibly tender. The bamboo shoots were also excellent, they were really crunchy. The egg was cooked perfectly, with a soft, jammy yolk. The bowl also came with two wontons. They were decent, but nothing particularly memorable.
I’m in Tokyo now eating at Kamo - it’s my first ever “real real” Ramen experience…babbbyyyy it was incredible! The duck broth with the duck meat was amazing. I got the #1 (it was 1580 yen or around $8 - the food is cheap in JP) that included extra toppings. You order first at the Kiosk/Self checkout then get in line. There was a line when we got there but they moved through it very fast - if there is a line, you know the food is good - this was the best meal we had in Tokyo during our week stay. You MUST eat here. Wow!
This place is amazing. Open 24/7 which was helpful given the time we were anround and there was a queue but did not wait long. The greetings from the staff and kindness especially from ladies with IDs 40 and 51. The duck broth was tasty! Noodles and pork were perfect texture. Mine had little dumplings in it! Happy chefs. Great experience.
