Excellent food! If you are looking for a special authentic Japanese Traditional Tempura place to eat! This place is a must go! Try the Luxury Shrimp rice bowl! You won’t be disappointed! Tan speaks english and will tell you all about your dish! Tempura zucchini, king umbrella mushroom, shrimp, rice, tempura fried sweet potato, fresh cucumber and soup. Absolutely amazing!
Located just a few minutes' walk from Sensoji Temple, this little shop is a testament to the efficiency of Japanese operations. They manage to optimize their 6S practices within such a small space. We had lunch here. The tempura was exceptionally good; it's the kind of dish I'd consider a benchmark for any tempura restaurant. Order at the machine, hand your slip to the cook, get seated, and wait for your meal. They also offer a variety of salts to enhance your meal.
Lovely way to start a rainy morning. A cozy storefront with seating upstairs. Sets served quickly, executed prefect. Light, crunchy tempura onigiri and a balanced pork soup. Seating, as is typical, is tight but roomy enough with bag and coat hooks. Light jazz and soft pop playing in the background adds to the vibe where staff can, but should not have to, communicate in English.
The food was amazing! It honestly felt like having fried shrimp with rice soup—so comforting. We came here late morning on a chilly day and it was just perfect. I ordered the Asakusa Tempura, and let me tell you, it’s delicious! Dipping it in the green Tea Salt was a total game changer. The chef was so sweet and spoke English, explaining exactly how to eat everything. The place is small and cozy, and you order through a machine that has English translation, so it’s super easy. If you’re staying around Asakusa, you’ve gotta try this spot!
Best Tempura I have had. I had the scallops and prawn tempura on rice. It was absolutely delicious with amazing crunch and not oily. The tempura on the side which was prawns and vegetables were also incredibly delicious. The small izakaya layout of the restaurant is very charming and gives it a nice intimate feel.
