An absolute insider tip! Everything is prepared with so much love. We've never had such a delicious mushroom dish. We would especially recommend it to all vegetarians. However, there are also versions with meat.
We love mushrooms… but who knew mushrooms could be the star of a fabulous tasting menu created by the talented Chef Jim. A magnificent experience with so many interesting tastes… Smokey, airy, umami, international, citrusy. I could go on. All beautifully plated with innovation and a few pairs of tweezers. 😀 A cozy, comfortable restaurant where you can chat with the chef and learn about the farms and prefectures where the fresh ingredients are sourced. What a delight!!
Revisited this small restaurant after 2 years and I must say that the food is equally good if not better than the last time. Off the back alley near Cat Street in Omotesando, it serves lunch and dinner consisting of mainly mushrooms. We arrived a little before opening hour at 1130am and were promptly seated. We ordered the course menu which included two appetizers, soup with pastry , main course and a dessert; all for the price of ¥3000. The dishes were all outstanding. The chef even took the time to chat with the customers. Highly recommended and will certainly return again.
Absolutely amazing experience and restaurant. It is tucked away on a side street with not a lot of visible signage from the road. Everything is mushroom based with so many creative dishes. Loved the pickled mushrooms especially.
We had such an interesting and delicious evening! Each dish tells a story - it’s definitely not just a “mushroom dish” like you might think. Ingredients from around the world, combined with the chef’s skill, make the whole experience feel truly unique. I especially loved the falafel, the onion soup, and the beet combination. (I chose the vegan option, dinner menu) Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys discovering new things and different flavors
