Super friendly staff who were patient with our lack of Japanese. Some of the best fish and seafood I have ever had! This was a truly special experience and very affordable. The salmon seared with Binchotan charcoal at our table was a highlight.
The food at this place is excellent — the fish and shrimp are grilled with great care. The staff are very attentive. If you’re in Akihabara, this restaurant is an absolute must-visit.
Izakaya specializing in charcoal grilled fish. I got both their specialty (whole grilled fish) and some of their other items, and while the grilled fish was good, I actually really liked their sashimi (skin is crisped with charcoal) more.
My wife and I were greeted and attended to by and amazingly welcoming host Ishikawa. He was friendly, attentive, and immediately recognized that we spoke English despite our bad attempts to communicate in Japanese. The place is situated at the top of a tall tower that affords nice views of Ahikabara (if you sit next to the glass), and the food only tastes better if you opt to climb the stairs instead of waiting on a queue for the elevator. The food is delicious and coal grilled, the sake selection is wide (the sampler is great to figure out what you like). Get the grilled shrimp. Eat the head. Kanpai.
Great food and an amazing view. A quiet place to have a filling meal. Would recommend, especially for those coming out of the JR Akihabara Station looking for lunch.
