Set course meal in private dining room was once in a lifetime experience. The taste of food, freshness, presentation and hospitality were at their best. Not only sake was amazing but I first time experienced the choice of sake glass with explanation of history and relevance. Needless to say views from 29th floor were amazing. Chef did a great job but also full credit to the lady who was serving us who explained everything in Japanese & English so nicely and was so warm. Must must visit.
We booked the restaurant for 8 PM for 7 people to celebrate my father’s birthday. We arrived on time, but they seated us at the bar, even though the dining room was empty. We waited about 10 minutes for a table by the window. Service was extremely slow: we only got menus after 40 minutes. No one took our order, and at 8:50 PM they told us the restaurant was closing, so we could only order once. We were rushed, the atmosphere was not festive, and the waiter was unfriendly. We asked for a birthday cake slice and got melon instead, and they forgot the candles. They brought candles only after we sang the birthday song. The food was average, prices were high, and the service was awful. On top of that, why offer an 8 PM reservation if the kitchen closes at 9, especially when the booking states we have the table for two hours? What’s the point?
High end restaurant with high quality and high priced food. Sushi and sea urchin soufle were amazing. Nice view. But the service and ambiance lacked warmth. It was 50% filled on Friday night and we scored a window seat since we had a reservation
We had a fantastic dinner during our stay at the hotel. The staff were amazing with helping and guiding us through the course menu and a la carte for our little one. Perfect japanese dinner.
