I didn’t have a reservation, but I went to Balcon Tokyo for dinner with my friend. The service was excellent, and the food was delicious. Our server was a young man who looked to be around 20 or 21 years old. He was very kind, friendly, and welcoming. He always had a smile on his face and made us feel comfortable throughout our visit. He could speak both Japanese and English fluently, which made communication easy and added to the great experience. There were also several international staff members, and they were all kind and professional. The only area I think Balcon Tokyo could improve is the speed of the food service. The dishes took quite a while to arrive. Aside from that, everything was wonderful, and we had a great experience. I would definitely visit again.
Food was good. We ordered mostly vegan/vegetarian dishes. Truffle pizza and vegetable pasta were excellent. Loved the cocktails too. Dessert wasn’t all that great. However quite disappointed with the service by people who seemed very little interested to be there and wasn’t attentive at all. That was a major let down. Ambience was good.
Went here for a girls night and was thoroughly disappointed. I’ve been here a couple of times before so had high hopes. We had pre ordered the course which had quite a bizarre menu (frozen tomato mousse, sardine and cream cheese tart, sea bream sashimi with grapefruit etc). The pasta and steak was very nice but that was all. Dessert was also very tasteless and cake did not taste fresh. The service was also terribly slow and the waiters seemed unhappy to be working there (which is very unusual in Japan). Wouldn’t recommend going here - in a city with endless delicious restaurants it’s a waste of money to eat here!
My wife and I stayed within the Minato ward about 1 month and wanted to spend our anniversary at a special place. After doing some research extensively, I found amazing reviews and photos about Balcon Tokyo. I can say for sure that the expectations about this location were far positively exceeded. The food was absolutely splendid and our waiter’s attention was high-class. He made us feel like royalty. I wish I could remember his name to give him a personal commendation. If anybody wants to spend a romantic evening evening with their loved one, or just overall have a great dinner, this is the place to go.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had a wonderful lunch at Balcon last Friday for our luncheon. The food was very good, the staff were extremely attentive, and the chefs were more than happy to accommodate our dietary requirements, which we really appreciated. Our table and seating were lovely, making it a very relaxed and enjoyable experience. We will definitely return for another lunch in the future and highly recommend Balcon for both the food and service.
