I went here with my seven-year-old daughter on a trip in May and I was really happy with how fresh everything was and this was the first place that she tried raw fish and she loved it. Everybody was really friendly. The prices were reasonable, and the sushi is very fresh. They even asked me and my daughter if we did not want wasabi on her pieces, but she tried it and actually liked it too. The next time I am back in Ikebukuro I will definitely return here.
Great Little sushi train - very easy to get to and seems super popular with queues from midday until 1:30pm. We didn’t have to wait long though. Food is super fresh with reasonable choice on the belt and from the supplementary menu. Price ver reasonable - free Ginger supplied at your seating. Recommended
I finally visited Tenka Sushi, which always has a long line. Although there were about 13 people waiting, I was seated in just 10 minutes thanks to the fast turnover. Everything was delicious and affordable! I especially loved the "Hawaii Roll" (tuna and avocado). The marinated tuna and salmon, and the mackerel plum hand roll were also excellent. Don't miss the crab or shijimi clam soup—only 200 yen and very satisfying. For those who are worried about the language barrier, don't worry! English menus are available upon request—just ask the staff. Things to Note: The space is a bit cramped with seats close together, and there are no baskets for luggage (you have to place items at your feet). I recommend visiting with light luggage. Overall, it’s a fantastic spot for high-quality sushi at a reasonable price!
This is my first conveyor belt sushi experience in Japan. I went for lunch and found it an affordable option but with a quality distinct from that of a sushi sho. Ingredients were fresh and staff readily available to assist and take orders.
After being accustomed to restaurants with ticket machines and touchscreen menus, coming here as a solo non-Japanese speaking diner and seeing other patrons call out their orders felt quite daunting. However, all the staff were lovely and they provided a menu from which I could choose my sushi dishes. There was also a friendly local sitting next to me who helped me to call the staff. The sushi was very fresh and the chawanmushi was incredibly smooth and flavourful. It was lovely to have this local dining experience and being able to see the sushi chefs at work.
