I had an amazing time here. Even though it is located right next to Sensou-ji, it was quiet, spacious, and very clean with a wooden inner structure. We ordered 明太もちチーズもんじゃ and ネギ塩豚もんじゃ. They were super tasty. Hiroaki-san served our table and cooked for us. He was very friendly, and we enjoyed our conversation with him. Good location, reasonable price, clean, and tasty. Highly recommend dining here when you are in Asakusa.

This place is incredible! Best food I've had in Japan. Hana was an amazing chef, working the flat top at the center of the table. I work as a caterer, and the skill was amazing. Monjayaki is a must have when you're in Tokyo! Don't forget to add the spicy furikake 😋

Great place for monja yaki and yakisoba. We did not try the okinomiyaki, but will try next time. Miu was subarashi/wonderful server who cooked everything so well that we did burn anything. We will definitely come back again. They have QR code to order in English and it was easy to use.

Best meal I've had in Japan. Nuff said. Not fancy but utterly mind blowing Monjayaki. And literally everything on the menu is worth eating...again and again. And the service and the atmosphere is on fire. All young people having a blast, high paced and FUN. If you don't speak Japanese no problem, MINATO will take great care of you. He is a thoughtful and humorous young man who will go on to do great and extraordinary things...for now that means cooking your Monja to perfection!!

I’m a foreign visitor and this was my first time trying monjayaki at 月島もんじゃ おこげ 浅草—and I’m officially obsessed. I’ll be honest: when it arrived and started cooking, the look of it was… unexpected. But one bite completely changed my mind. The texture is warm and comforting, kind of like a savory, melt-in-your-mouth “Japanese skillet snack,” and it’s way more flavorful than you’d guess from the appearance. The most unforgettable one was the squid ink monja. Deep, rich umami with a slightly briny seafood taste, and when you add cheese it turns almost like a creamy risotto—so good that I kept talking about it the next day. I also tried a few side dishes (the grilled eggplant was simple but perfect), and everything felt fun because you’re part of the cooking process. The staff were helpful and made it easy even for a first-timer. I’d happily come back, and next time I want to try more varieties with different toppings.
