Came here with my husband, first time trying Monjayaki, we got the Ethnic one and it was really good! We also got pork okonomoyaki which was pretty good too. They cook the food in front of you which was a great experience too! We were very blessed by amazing service provided by Hinata and the whole team which made the whole experience even more pleasant!
We had 2 monjayaki and 1 okonomiyaki. Our waitresses spoke some English and explained everything as they cooked for us swiftly and everything was all really tasty! The atmosphere was really nice, chatty and warm as well. There was storage under the seats to place our bags and after the meal they had fabric refresheners we could use as well. Would definitely come again 💜
My first time having this type of food, Monjayaki. I ordered their special, which is good for 1-2 people depending on how hungry you are. The food was amazing! So flavorful. Truffle fries is one of the best I’ve had, ever - crispy and tastes like truffle. Cover charge includes a piece of pork belly and egg, both are good. We also ordered a half order of creamy clam chowder also very good. Akira, our server, very friendly and cooked our food well! We will come back here to eat again before the end of our trip for sure.
10/10 experience, not only thanks to the delicious food that comes in nicely big portions, but also thanks to the great kindness of the stuff! Kylie, who waited our table, was lovely, explained us multiple dishes and drinks in English, was very attentive to any request and apologized profusely for any small delay. She really made the experience of eating monjayaki for the first time unforgettable! We booked our table through Tabelog and got a table a few floors up, nice environment and a bit less crowdy than the first floor. Highly recommend going to this restaurant, trying both the Tokyo-local monjayaki, and the more well-known okonomiyaki, and enjoying the experience of seeing the dishes being prepared and fried in front you and then scrape the food onto your bowl from the hot grill 🔥
My husband and I (Americans) walked in at night and they seated us upstairs with the other locals. There was a fun vibe. The staff who explained to us how to order and made our food for us were extremely polite and helpful. You scan a QR code and order online on your own device. It was easy to navigate since it was in English. There is a 1 drink minimum and 1 appetizer per person required. The appetizer is up to them. For our meal, it was fried double yolk egg with bacon. For other food, we ordered the pork curry monjayaji and the cod pollack roe mochi monja and enjoyed both! We also got the fried squid tentacles geso and fried chicken karaage. The karaage was my husband absolute favorite he’s ever had in his life and he still dreams of it. I agree—it was very juicy, light and flakey batter and tasty. We liked it so much we had 4 orders between the 2 of us. Highly recommend this experience for tourists who want to try an interesting food in a locals bar environment.
