Fantastic place with special dishes
It is a very Japanese place and it’s an honour to acquire a place there. The live squid is their proud specialty. Sliced into transparent paper-thin pieces, the raw squid still twitches and wriggles on the serving plate. It is the subtle sweetness that permeates in your mouth after repeated chewing that is most unique. There is no dipping sauce for the tempura but, surprisingly, the tempura has a tasty fermented filling!
I had the 6000 yen course meal. The sashimi was described as being caught that day in Chiba, but it had a soft texture that suggested it had been aged. They had live squid in a tank inside the restaurant, and the sashimi made from this squid was delicious, sweet, and had no unpleasant taste.
