Excellent food, extraordinary service! This was our first wagyu yakiniku experience and we were so glad to have waited our whole lives to have it HERE! We were greeted by Felix who explained the menu to us very kindly and warmly. Bikram took over and was our server for the rest of the night. His service was STELLAR and really made the experience for us. He chatted with us and made us feel really comfortable :) The meal itself was STUNNING and the portion was just nice. We had their best-seller sampler platter, mixed kimchi, and large bowls of rice. They cook the steak cut for you right in front of you, and you cook the rest yourself. There’s a variety of dipping sauces and they even explain how to eat the meats and pair them with the sauces/condiments (wasabi, butter, peppercorn). The meat was delicious and melt-in-your-mouth. The table is well-ventilated so you won’t feel hot or smokey. We told Bikram that it was our anniversary and he and the team surprised us with a bowl of ice cream and even some water to wash it down! It was such a kind gesture and we felt really taken care of. At the payment counter, server Shanhas gave us this adorable hamster origami 🥰🥰 This was a 5-star experience all around, and we can’t believe we lucked out with this halal restaurant. We highly recommend this restaurant, even if you don’t eat halal!
Probably one of the best place to have Halal Wagyu in Japan. It is pronouns as "wa-gyu". Not "wag-yu". Every single malays make this mistake 🤦🏻 Anyway, it was sedap!!! Some of the parts were very soft and melt in your mouth. Don't cook too long. We malays have the habit to overcooked everything. The thick parts, yes need to grill a bit longer, cut to smaller size and grill again. That's the way tau. The dipping sauce also good. You dont need bbq, black pepper or chilis sauce here. What i did was, dip in the sauce, grill, dip again, grill and straight to mouth. Yum! Don't grill everything in one go! Unless if you're concern about the line outside, sure do that. You're very kind person. The way to eat is to grill a piece and then eat. Grill again, and eat. But it's up to you. If you plan to come later in the night, probably better to make reservations 1st. We were lucky to come with empty tables. Like every restaurant in Japan, space is limited.
Panga A5 Wagyu is incredible. The steak is ridiculously good — super tender, loaded with that rich, buttery flavor that just melts in your mouth. The marbling is insane and it tastes so savory and satisfying. On top of that, the service is genuinely friendly and warm. The team makes you feel right at home and really cares about your experience. Overall, it’s one of the best steak dinners I’ve had. Highly recommend!
This is easily the best restaurant I tried in Tokyo. The wagyu quality is amazing, and what surprised me most is how affordable it is. I went for the lunch set (around ¥4,000 per person) & Premium wagyu single set (¥7,000 yen) and it was definitely worth it. Great value compared to other more famous halal restaurants, which tend to be pricier but not necessarily better. The meat was fresh and very satisfying. Service and atmosphere were also excellent. Location-wise, it’s super convenient — just about a 1-minute walk from Okachimachi Station (JR Yamanote Line) and very close to PARCO_ya Ueno. Highly recommended if you’re looking for quality wagyu at a reasonable price in Tokyo!
I was passing by and noticed this well-rated restaurant serving wagyu, so I decided to give it a try. I ordered the “chateaubriand” steak and it was very good, exactly what you expect from quality A5 wagyu: tender, rich, and full of flavor with beautiful marbling. The restaurant is known for carefully selected A5-grade wagyu, which makes it a popular option. I also tried the wagyu premium single set, which was very good as well and offers a nice variety of cuts to grill. The dining room is decent and comfortable, and the service is good as usually experienced in Japan: attentive, efficient, and welcoming. The restaurant is conveniently located near Okachimachi Station and the Ameyoko area, making it an easy stop while visiting Ueno. Overall, definitely a good place in the Ueno area if you want to enjoy quality wagyu. Enjoy 😎🧘♀️🧘🙏🌸🥩
