My wife and I (mid to late 30’s, from Philly) have experienced numerous Michelin-rated restaurants across the world but this was at the top. Staff was unbelievably welcoming, warm, and attentive. Evening’s menu even had our names pre-printed on it! The Chef’s Kyoto style omakase was absolutely phenomenal. Complex, seasonal flavors with beautiful presentation. We we left in awe after every dish. To add to the evenings culinary experience, a 5.5 earthquake hit but the staff remained calm and continued the evening’s experience without pause. Upon leaving, we were walked to the elevator door by the entire staff including the chef. Truly amazing, one of a kind experience that we’re still thinking about nearly 2 days after…
We were a family group of 5 who had been touring Japan for 2 weeks and this was our last night kaiseki experience to top off the tour. We were not disappointed, the menu varies depending on season and availability and ours was different from anything we found on online reviews, so it was a surprise and wonderful. We do not speak Japanese, but one of the staff explained everything in good English and it was fascinating to watch the chef cook and prepare in front of us. There is an extensive drinks list, but we asked for a matching drinks flight instead and this enhanced the food and included a variation of drinks that we would not have known. A great experience, but book in advance !
I had an amazing omakase experience here. Every plate was perfectly prepared - both delicious and beautiful. The chef and staff were incredibly friendly, and we had such a lovely conversation throughout dinner despite my limited Japanese. I’ll certainly be back.
We had a beautiful meal here. Each plate was a work of art, the service was wonderful and everything was very tasty. Always wanted to try puffer fish - Chef has a license to prepare it, so wish come true. What a lovely experience!
