Comparing this experience with other sushi places, even smaller omakases is a bit unfair because this is in a different league. Everything is too quality and you will leave wondering why isn’t all rice like that? And how can fish melt in your mouth just right? I loved the chef too, a very energetic and funny person who didn’t take himself too seriously but was dead serious when riling nigiris and cutting the tuna perfectly. The setting is simple, just a 10 person counter, even the chopsticks are very common, simple wood. But the plates they serve in are beautiful and the food speaks for itself. If this is worth 33000 yens it is up to you, your budget and your experience. I wouldn’t start here but work my way up from cheaper sushi places and cheaper omakases, I think that’s how you get the most out of what this omakase has to offer, it is definitely not for the uninitiated. All in all, a very special meal and a proper way to end my trip here in Japan. Thank you Mr Nakamura!

Overall, the staff’s service was good, and the sushi itself was very enjoyable. However, this was not the kind of atmosphere I had expected. The biggest issue, in my opinion, was Mr. Nakamura. He didn’t seem to be the type to engage with guests or create a welcoming, conversational experience. Once the restaurant became full, he appeared flustered and somewhat overwhelmed while attending to customers. There was a lack of composure, and it felt as though he wasn’t quite sure how to manage the situation, which was disappointing. I had been expecting the calm, seamless flow of service typically associated with a traditional Japanese sushi counter. Instead, the experience felt closer to that of a busy conveyor-belt sushi restaurant, which caught me off guard. Additionally, the wine list was quite underwhelming.

This 5 star rating is not only for the amazing food, but also for the true craftsmanship and dedication behind it. No much interaction with chef, but we can tell he has very high requirement for his food. I will definitely come back again soon.
