A popular restaurant from Nakameguro has now opened in Shibuya. My expectations rose the moment I saw the sashimi platter that was served first, and I was convinced when I tasted it because everything was so fresh. I can see why so many people come here specifically for the seafood. The oden had a rich broth that had soaked into the ingredients, and although simple, it was a flavor that made me want to keep eating. The dashi chawanmushi had a comforting and gentle flavor, and the crab miso gratin was rich but not too heavy, making it a dish that would go well with alcohol. My personal favorite was the rare fried raw horse mackerel. The light texture of the batter and the deliciousness of the rare-cooked horse mackerel were so good that I wanted to order another serving. Recommended for days when you want to enjoy seafood while drinking.
