Rojiura Curry SAMURAI - Harajuku

One of my preferred Hokkkaido soup curry joints in the city. The curry is nourishing and fresh, and the plethora of toppings complement each other well. The crispy fried chicken is a delightful textural contrast to the dish. I really like the seasonal lassi they have too.
This is my very first time trying soup curry and I’m kinda obsessed now. Got the chicken and fried chicken soup curry with level 3 spice—rich, perfectly spiced, and so comforting. Chicken was fall-off-the-bone and the veggies were fresh too. Lowkey a hidden gem. Just bring cash tho—cash only. Definitely going back!
Decided to give it a try and I was happy! I had the basic chicken curry (fried and non fried) with regular soup and level 1 spicy. It was umai! Perfect taste of curry and the veggies were amazing as well. The staff are polite, friendly and accommodating. We came at almost closing time in the afternoon but we still received a great service. The vibe of the place was chill, it was an 18 seater place, well kept and tastefully designed.
It was a short walk away from the crowd at Takeshita Street. Thankfully, we did not have to queue that day as it was drizzling. Delicious soup curry with lots of root vegetables. The dish looked colourful and inviting. I enjoyed eating the rice with butter and corn. The Yuzu Lassi was yummy and not too sweet. I love the atmosphere of a little cottage. It felt like dining in someone's house. The service could have been less rushed and abrupt. I thank my wonderful friend for always bringing me to this small lovely restaurant.
Super recommend but please note it’s cash only. The food was delicious (non-spicy, normal and slightly spicy versions) and veggies were prepared to be crispy yet tender. Chicken was cooked perfectly. Service was outstanding from both: waitress and the cook. This place is small but extremely cosy and welcoming. Few of us commented that it was the best curry they had in a while. Coconut version was superb.
