Sushi no Midori Echika Ikebukuro
Tokyo
Recensioner
The wait is unreal but there’s a reason for that. This is one of the best cost performance sushi restaurants I’ve ever been in. Tuna was unreal, Uni was so fresh. Fantastic service. I had to go twice in two days I couldn’t believe it. When’s my next Japan trip?
A must go to standing sushi bar that I found years ago when I happened to exit at Ikebukuro station exit C6. Hidden in the underground passage was what used to be a tiny basic standing sushi bar selling top grade sushi from 120 yen per piece. The taste is still the same!! Now owned by the Midori Sushi chain, the size remains the same but they now have a bigger selection of sushi and have installed individual electronic order screens instead of manual writing. There can be long queues so it’s best to go early as there are only about 10 standing spots. A highly recommended must try when in Tokyo!!
Hidden in the underground passage was a great, quality, chained-sushi shop. The shop itself was small with the standing bar and tables that fit 10 people. All the ingredients was great and the set menu was good variety especially for limited lunch set. You can order and see the bill via tablet in each seating (stand). We love the long unagi sushi (Japanese eel)
