If you don't like a loud lively atmosphere you're going to have a hard time here but if that's your jam this place is perfect. Service is incredibly fast and food and drinks are both delicious!
A bit underwhelmed. Certainly very nice to have private rooms. Despite the iPad ordering, all of the items are in Japanese despite choosing English, so when I was looking at the skewers, I couldn't tell what was gizzard, heart, normal chicken, etc. The food was OK; given the price, it didn't impress. The standout items was the kama (delicious, generous portion, 5/5). Fried chicken was also good. Everything else we ordered (grilled squid, edamame, fried asparagus (so stringy!), tempura platter, skewer sampler) were all forgettable to slightly underwhelming.
Came here for dinner as a group of 6. Seating arrangements are nice and are secluded with dividers from other tables. Staff are friendly and attentive. Food is okay and nothing to write home about. Being able to order from tablet is nice but if you can't read Japanese, some of the menu items appear as Japanese so it's a little confusing. I do not recommend the sashimi as it was not great but the tempura and skewers were nice.
The sashimi and tempura were excellent, both in presentation and taste. Ordering is pretty simple via a tablet, although I found some items hard to find, like a bowl of rice. It seems every group gets their own private room too, some non smoking, and others allow smoking. We booked our room in advance via their website. One thing I would criticise (although this is no fault on the restaurant), is that some diners can be quite loud, many I presume were work colleagues going out together. (we were there on a weekday night around 8-9:30pm) One group near us were loudly complaining about Europeans, little did they know this European understands Japanese fluently.
This Izakaya has only private rooms and recommendations is recommended. We walked in at 6 and they only have a table at 8pm so we shopped for 2 hours before returning. Food is good and ordering through the tablet is a breeze.
