Incredible views paired with incredible meals. Highest quality ingredients and outstanding taste among high class Michelin star restaurants to which you need to compare this. The staff was talking fluently in English and the Sake/Wine pairing was perfect.
I do not believe it was unreasonable to expect top notch service from Kozue for our NYE dinner, given that it is a high end restaurant in a five star hotel. The staff was polite and courteous but oftentimes they look confused. This restaurant hosts a lot of foreigners but the waitresses do not communicate well in English and even with Google Translate they seemed timid and lost. The pace of the courses were way too slow and there was no explanation on what the dishes were. They simply placed the dishes on the table and quickly walked away. I ordered wine, even pointed out the exact item I wanted on the drinks menu, but the wait staff still seemed to not register what I was asking for. Food, however, was delicious and presented beautifully but we were not sure what we were eating or how many dishes we were getting? I hope this was just a one off hiccup on the restaurant's part due to the holiday season and labor shortage. Other than that, the restaurant has a tranquil ambiance with low lighting, giving it a dark and romantic vibe.
